We use Gary Thomas materials such as: Sacred Marriage and Sacred Influence. We teach small Life Groups through our church, book studies at the farm and extended stays for couples who need to process the information while staying at our farm.

Larry and Cindy Shannon live just 30 minutes north of Springfield, Missouri. They live on a fully operational cattle farm. Through their experiences in life they have both been married before, have navigated blended families, divorce recovery and single parenting.

Through the book studies Sacred Influence and Sacred Marriage, they have learned many life lessons about marriage. This ministry is the result of many years of 'wandering through the desert'. This farm is dedicated to doing God's work in marriage.

Larry is a farmer. Cindy is a retired High School Business/Marketing teacher. Their family includes three grown children all living distances away.

Life Groups

Praise Assembly of God, Springfield, MO offers small Live Groups throughout the year. We teach about marriage to engaged, newly married, separated, blended, long-time married couples.

Book Studies

We offer an intimate setting here at the farm for book studies, either as a wife, husband or a married couple. Once a month from 1:00-4:00, meal included.

Marriage Stay & Study

Marriage extended opportunities include your room and meals while here at the farm. This offering is designed around the needs of the couple, and arranged through your church.
